New Zealand physician & neuroscientist with a broad, 25-year experience in R&D and Commercial roles in pharmaceutical companies, CROs and Biotech.
After 5 years in clinical development in New Zealand and Australia Ross moved to Beijing in 1993 to establish clinical development capabilities in Northeast Asia for two global pharmaceutical companies.
During his five years in Beijing, he led some of China’s earliest GCP-compliant trials aimed at global approvals for a Chinese-invented and globally patented anti-malarial drug.
Ross then moved to Singapore in 1998 spending 19 years years in leadership roles with three biopharmaceutical companies, a Singapore-based biotech he cofounded in 2010, and two global CROs.
In June 2017 Ross joined AbbVie and moved to Tokyo in his current role leading and building AbbVie’s Clinical Development organization in Japan and Asia Pacific. He reports to the global Chief Medical Officer and sits on the Global Development Leadership Team.
