MD Grand Investments is a quantitative multi-strategy private fund manager ('PFM') based in Hangzhou and Shanghai, China. It is one of the top CTA manager in China, and best known of its industry-leading trend-following strategy with nearly 4 years track record. 

Before founding MD Grand Investments in Dec. 2015, Dr. Lingkun Kong was a partner of C8 Investments of DUET Group (AUM $5.5billion) in London, which is a quantitative systematic multi-strategy investment manager consisting of the core CTA 'BlueTrend' team of BlueCrest Capital Management (AUM was $35billion).  Dr. Kong started his career in Bank of America Merrill Lynch, London as a quantitative analyst. 

Dr. Kong holds a PhD from University of Southampton, UK, specializing in information theory and signal processing. His PhD research is closely related to information extraction, noisy data mining, mathematical modelling of stochastic process and statistical signal forecasting, which forms the foundation of his quantitative investment career. He is the top one gold medallist of China's Mathematical Modelling Olympiad in 2004.
