BIO Deutschland is the sector association of the German biotechnology industry and has set itself the objective of supporting and promoting the development of an innovative economic sector based on modern biosciences.The Berlin-based association currently has about 340 members and is run by a board of ten members consisting of CEOs and managing directors of biotechnology companies. The member companies and their experts are organised in working groups that deal with a variety of topics such as regulatory policy, diagnostics, finance and taxation, health policy, industrial bioeconomy, entrepreneurship or technology transfer. Using a wide range of political initiatives, BIO Deutschland lobbies for improvements to the legal parameters for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.The association is also very active in a broad range of events with the aim of providing biotechnology with a platform for discussion and interaction. BIO Deutschland represents Germany’s biotechnology sector at the European association, EuropaBio, in Brussels and at the US-American BIO in Washington.

The New Drug Founders Club was founded in April, 2015, to form a network for founders of companies focusing on innovative new drug R&D and of companies providing relevant services. The club is highly prestigious in that only founders of such companies and people well-recognized for having special and major contributions to new drug R&D in China (including China R&D heads of multinational companies, R&D heads of major domestic companies, partners of VC, and other nationally recognized leaders in new drug R&D) can be admitted to the club. This feature distinguish this club from any other professional organizations in China or the world.

SUBIA (SUBIA Sino-US Biomedical Investment Association) and SUBIA Forum is a biomedical professional organization established between China and the United States. It’s founded in 2014 and main offices are located in New York and Shanghai. SUBIA has over 3000 members over the world. Its members are mainly composed of research scientists, entrepreneurs, doctors, scholars, IP lawyers, medical policy maker, business and academic leaders, as well as over 600 members of angel and VC/PE investment capitalists in the field of healthcare. Its Management Committee is composed of 13 professional representatives in US and China. SUBIA has been playing active role in linking the Chinese and US biopharmaceutical industries for promoting drug innovation and cross border investment. During the past two years. SUBIA has held seminars and forums covering advanced technologies and drug discovery platforms of target drugs, immunology, gene therapy, genetic testing, CRO Service, IVD, in vitro diagnostic, medicine device and molecular diagnosis etc. Since its inception, SUBIA has helped investor to reach the potential projects for investment and assisted academic and industrial professionals in forming startup companies and technical transfer in US and China as well as rest of the world.
