Dr. Li Jingrong joined the CStone Pharmaceutical team in December 2016 as senior vice-president for product development and manufacturing. He provides leadership and strategy for areas including process development, quality control, and manufacturing of drug products, as well as scientific support to enable market launch. Dr. Li is a life sciences technology professional with over 20+ years’ experience in product development and manufacturing operations, and is a National Medical Products Administration (NMPA)-appointed expert at the Institute of Executive Development Training. Prior to joining CStone, Dr. Li held positions as Executive Director at Simcere Pharmaceutical and as General Manager of BSK BIO, from 2011 to 2016. Dr. Li also served as Manager Principal Scientist of Roche Molecular Systems (USA) from 2003 to 2011, and was senior scientist at Biospecifics Technologics (USA) from 2000 to 2003. Dr. Li’s development track record includes one marketed therapeutic enzyme product (XiaFlex), five marketed diagnostic reagent products (for HPV, EGFR, KRAS, BRAF and NewGen), and 11 successful drug IND approvals in both overseas markets and China. He also led a team responsible for manufacturing of billion-dollar value products annually. Dr. Li holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from China Pharmaceutical University, and is a postdoctoral fellow at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
