Mr. Yong Zhang has more than 20 years of work experience in the economic and financial fields, and has extensively played in the fields of private banking, wealth management, investment banking, asset management, etc. He possesses an industry-leading global vision and has a wealth of experience at managing multiple departments in large financial enterprises.In 1997, Mr. Yong Zhang participated in the establishment of China Minsheng Bank Shanghai Branch. He has successively served as the head of the branch’s corporate banking, retail banking, small and medium-sized finance, investment banking and sub-branch, and was awarded the “Minsheng Bank Historical Contribution Award”.He started engaging in the operational management of private banks since July 2008, and was the first generation of domestic private bankers in China. Mr. Yong Zhang served as principal of the Private Banking Department of China Minsheng Bank Head Office for a long time. He was in charge of market, investment, product, operation, risk compliance and other front-back and back-office business segments. During his tenure, the three-year compound growth of CMBC’s high-net-worth customers, net profit and asset size exceeded 50%, making CMBC a highly recognized institution in China's high-net-worth customer market.Before joining China Minsheng Bank, Mr. Yong Zhang was a researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences. He focused on observing and researching in the fields of regional economy and enterprise management, leading to his publishments of valuable viewpoints.Mr. Yong Zhang is a member of the National Financial Youth Federation, the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Youth Federation, the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Finance Youth Federation, the Vice President of the Shanghai Fudan University Alumni Association, the Vice President of the Shanghai Alumni Association of Singapore Nanyang Technological University, and the Vice President of the Shanghai Shandong Chamber of Commerce. In these roles, he actively promotes the multi-level transmission of the concept and practice of family wealth management in the Chinese society. Mr. Yong Zhang graduated from Fudan University with a master's degree in Economics. He was selected to be a member of the 100-member Central Committee’s central training program. In 2001, as a member of the National Youth Federation’s Senior cadres training course, engaged in advanced studies in the role of a senior visiting scholar at the University of Illinois.
