Mr. Steven Chen currently serves Standard Chartered Bank (China) as an Executive Director of Capital Market Solutions，and is responsible for securitization and structured finance business in China. Mr. Chen is one of the members of the Executive Committee of China Securitization Forum.

 

Mr. Chen has capital markets and structured finance experience more than ten years. In the structured finance market, Mr. Chen is one of the first domestic securitization market players participated in CDB first batch of pilots, and was fully responsible for the first CLO of BoCom, first CLO of SCB China, and also successfully completed a number of private structured transactions in domestic market. Some specific deal won several international awards previously. In additions, Mr. Chen with his team as the Sole Financial Advisor successfully closed the first ever financial leasing receivables ABS in China and as Lead Underwriter and Book-runner successfully closed couple of auto ABS and Panda Bond issuances in China for some international reputable names. Standard Chartered Bank hence is as a leading foreign bank provides Lead Underwriting and Book-running services in China, and has been frequently awarded as the “Best Securitization House” by The Asset in the past years. In the debt capital market, Mr. Chen had completed many dozens of bond underwriting transactions over the past few years, which totally deal size exceeding hundred billion RMB.


Mr. Chen graduated from the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, and holds a Ph. D in Finance and a lawyer qualification.
