Cynthia Yuan is the General Manager of Risk Management Department of Sunshine Group, which has wide spread of business including Life insurance, Property and Casualty insurance, Financial Credit insurance and Fintech company. She is also a member of Asset Liability regulation working party led by CIRC, aiming to promote sensible investment and enhance technique of capital usage. Before joining Sunshine Group Cynthia was Deputy General Manager of Actuarial and Risk Management department of China Re Group. The first ever council member of Institute of Faculty and Actuaries(IFoA) elected in Asia, Cynthia endeavors to enhance and promote the technology in risk management. She also worked as advisor for CIRC (Chinese Insurance Regulatory Committee) in C-ROSS (Chinese Solvency II reformation) constitution, chaired various technical working parties covering correlation and reinsurance. Before coming back to China, Cynthia has worked various roles including ERM team leader for Sargicor at Lloyd’s, pricing actuary in Gen Re and consultant in Watson Wyatt.
