Dr. Yining Zhao is the Founder and CEO of Hangzhou Just Biotherapeutics, an integrated design company focused on technologies that will accelerate development of biotherapeutics and substantially reduce their manufacturing cost. 


Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Dr. Zhao has been working in the areas of Strategy Management, Business Development, Product Development and M&A at multinational biopharmaceutical companies for around 20 years. He was Executive Strategy Director at Global Commercial Operations of Amgen based in Thousand Oaks, California where he was leading the market entry strategy, business development and commercialization of biosimilars in 30 countries outside US and EU. Prior to Amgen, Yining was the Asia Strategy Lead at Pfizer based in New York, overseeing the Asia strategy across small molecule, biologics and vaccine.


Currently, Dr. Zhao is the founder and president of Veritas Genetics Inc and NuBiyota Inc. which respectively specializes in human genetic testing and microbiome therapy.


Dr. Zhao received his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Fudan University (Shanghai, China), Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium), and MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA). Yining has contributed more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
