Mr. Lau joined the Administrative Service of the Hong Kong Government in August 1994.  Since then, he has served in various Policy Branches/Bureaux including Trade and Industry Branch, Education and Manpower Branch, Financial Services Branch, Chief Secretary’s Office, Food and Health Bureau and Commerce and Economic Development Bureau.  He was Principal Assistant Secretary for Education before taking up his current post of Deputy Secretary for Transport in August 2015.
