With over 20 years’ experiences in the Aviation industry, Mr. Hou Kan started out in Air China’s international affairs office right after his graduation from Beijing International Studies University in 1992, taking charge of bilateral business negotiation with Europe. From 1998, he worked as the Assistant of GM, in the Americas regional office of Air China. In 2003, Kan received a dual master’s degree in Information System Management and Telecommunication Management in the United States, and joined Travelsky Technology Limited in the same year. Since 2005, Kan worked in IATA Beijing office, taking charge of E-ticket promoting and the program of Simplifying the Business (StB), leading the projects to a far-flung success in North Asia. Kan worked as vice Director of Member and External Relations (MER) in 2008, responsible for member relationship and government affairs. From 2013, he worked as Regional Director of Airport, Passenger, Cargo and Security (APCS), in charge of regional passenger and cargo services, as well as the promotion of relevant projects in airport and security of North Asia, IATA.
