SWIFT
Eric is the Director of China Markets and Initiatives for SWIFT Asia Pacific, based in Shanghai. In this role, Eric Yang is responsible for defining, driving and ensuring the execution of SWIFT strategic business plan in China. Eric also carries the responsibility of driving SWIFT business strategy in RMB business, focusing on supporting RMB clearing infrastructure establishment and facilitating the community alignment on RMB market best practice.
Eric joined SWIFT in 2007 and has worked as commercial manager as well as product manager in Brussels, Hong Kong and Shanghai, with a strong understanding of clients’ needs for the banking industry in Asia. He has also worked closely with the banking community, industry associations and regulators, with a special focus on supporting the payment market infrastructure requirements in Asia Pacific region.
Before SWIFT, Eric worked as a Financing Manager in a multi-national corporate, being based in middle east countries where he was responsible for the company’s structured trade finance projects across Middle East&North Africa region.
Eric holds a BA Economics degree and a Master degree in International Finance.
He is Chinese.
