Leo Shen, China Wealth Leader, oversees Mercer’s Wealth Business in China and based in Shanghai, China. He also serves as a consultant to the Pension Management Professional Committee in Insurance Asset Management Association of China.
Before joining Mercer, Leo has played various senior management roles in the asset management industries in both China and Hong Kong. He was the CIO of Manulife Financial China Insurance Business, CIO of Manulife-Sinochem Insurance (China), COO of Morgan Stanley Investment Management (Asia), Deputy General Manager and Head of Segregated Account Business of Morgan Stanley Huaxin Fund Management (China) and Deputy CEO of Rongtong Global Investment (Hong Kong).
Leo is an expert of cross-border investment between China and overseas. He has helped various Chinese institutional clients including Sovereign Wealth Funds, banks, insurers, wealth managers and corporates to invest at different asset classes in and outside of China. Also, he is an all-rounded manager of different functions including investment, business development and operations in an asset management company.
Leo graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (BBA) and the University of Western Ontario in Canada (MBA). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Account.
