Dr. Chiang Syin is currently the Chief Quality Officer and Senior Vice President at WuXi Biologics, mainly responsible for QA, QC and RA. Prior to joining WuXi Biologics, he served as a Gates Project International Expert for CFDI of CFDA (now renamed NMPA). During the nearly 30-year career at the U.S. FDA, Dr. Syin has accumulated abundant experience in regulatory review and GMP compliance of biological and biotech products. He has been actively involved in FDA drug/biologics regulatory policy and guidance development including Vaccines CMC and Phase I GMP guidance documents as well as the 2011 Process Validation guidance revision. Dr. Syin received the bachelor degree in biology at Tunghai University in Taiwan, China and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Catholic University of America after which he undertook the post-doctorate study at the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
