Mr. Wu Jianyi serves as the Technical Director at China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. (CMES) and concurrently holds the position of General Manager at the company's Marine Technology & Innovation Center. With expertise spanning shipbuilding, operations, and advanced intelligent and green energy technologies, he brings 13 years of seafaring experience and 19 years of shore-based ship management to his roles. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Wu has made significant contributions to technological innovation at both national and industry levels, earning notable achievements.

Presently, he is a member of the Special Evaluation Group for Green and Eco-friendly Ships, a Technical Committee Member of the China Classification Society, and Deputy Director of the Smart Ship Subcommittee under the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry. Mr. Wu has been instrumental in shaping international maritime regulations, spearheading efforts on IMO greenhouse gas emission reduction, the enforcement of EEXI/CII compliance standards, and the establishment of sustainable fuel funding mechanisms. In addition, he leads several high-profile national research initiatives, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "2030 Green and Smart VLCC" project and the development of wind-assisted propulsion systems.
