Joining MGEN in 2010 and presently attached to the VYV Group created by MGEN and other French mutuals in September 2017, Thierry Weishaupt has been the person in charge of the development of the strategy in China, in direct link with the CEO of MGEN Group and now VYV Group. His involvement includes the strategic vision building, the implementation and development of all relationship involved, including with the Chinese Ministry in charge of Social Security (MOHRSS) and the Chinese regulator for insurance (CIRC). Thierry Weishaupt has also been the CEO of the International Education Network, an NGO created by MGEN, AIM (International Association of Health Mutuals) and Education International, to support the development of health and social protection through the mobilization of the Education communities.

Prior to joining MGEN and VYV Group, Thierry was in charge of governance in several

important networks, including EUCLID NETWORK, CJDES and FEGAPEI. He was also the

senior management of several organizations in France, including NSC Group, IMAGINE

IMAGINE SA and Alsace Development Agency.

 

Working on Social and Solidarity Economy area for more than 10 years, Thierry has established strong relationship with the State of France as well as local authorities. He is expert of international project management and intercultural relation development, with a special focus on Asia (China and Japan mainly).

 

Thierry has graduated in political science from the Paris Institut d’Etudes Politiques, has a master degree of International Trade Law at the University of Paris, and the college degrees of Chinese Language and Culture as well as Japanese Language and Culture.
